Reading the Blog
Blogs are not usually presented or read as single documents; rather they tend to arrive piecemeal, with each entry existing as a separate entity and being read much as one might read a newspaper article or email message. They also tend to be located within specific periods of time, relating primarily to the specific moment of their creation. Reading past posts on any blog is therefore something of an archaeological exercise. The reader of this blog may wish to treat it in this spirit.
The blog is quite extensive, about 160,000 words at the last count, so starting at the beginning and working through may not be the ideal option, although clicking on the First Entry link below will take you to the first entry should you wish to try. Alternatively the blog may be accessed in reverse order, starting with the Last Entry, which is a standard blog convention. There is also a link to an Index of what I hope are useful search terms, which should allow readers to follow a more self-directed path. Some of these keyword searches that the reader may wish to try (and which might be considered more well-worn paths through the space of ideas) have been introduced as ‘themes’ HERE.
There is also an index of authors cited in this blog, and clicking on the name of an author will bring up all the posts which refer to that author. This can be accessed HERE.
